Progress Report - Oh dear...

I managed to get everything ready for the kiln yesterday but it came pretty close so I had to hurry... I'm afraid the miniature vases, cups and bottles will end up looking crappy because of this. I feel I could have done so much better had I had more time, but I didn't want to wait until next week since there are people still waiting for their Valentine's swap stuff and I feel really bad about it. Then again, I may end up feeling even worse once they're done and don't look very good. I'd like to apologize already beforehand...

I think next time I'm going to press some decorations onto stuff while still soft and just add oxides and a clear glaze. That usually looks all right and takes much less time to do. Hindsight 20/20.

Progress Report - Walls and floors

So, finally the walls and floors are done, the glue is still drying though. I'm hoping to make some lanterns tonight and maybe a coffee grinder too. It's already pretty late so I don't think I'll get much done, but I'm running out of time so I'll have to squeeze in what I can. Tomorrow's relatively free so I'll try to get the rest done then. Wall hangings and plants and small items like that take surprisingly lot of time. 
On Wednesday there's the December fair at the market place, so I'm going to head out to see what's there, but I'll have to try to use that evening to start planning and shooting the stories. There's just Thursday and Friday to get all that done, edit the pictures too, because there's going to be a big Christmas fair on Saturday and Sunday and I want to go see it. It won't take the whole day, but I expect it's going to be tiring... I want to be done on Monday, but the very latest date everything just has to be done is on the 13th. I'd really like the Monday though...  

Heh, evidently my writing is still pretty crappy from having participated in Nano again this year. It was very very tiring and it'll take time to recover. I have no idea how I'll be able to get everything written properly what with my head such a mush. Ooogh, crappy sentences...! D:

Walls and floors

Oh dear, this is exhausting. I've sort of got floors in three of the seven rooms. I bought some fabric to serve as wallpaper since my printer's not working properly... but there were only suitable ones for three of the rooms. Also, I had to abandon one room because I don't have enough furniture. I do wonder if I'm going to get this finished on time... It doesn't look particularly good. :/

Kalenteri on täysi! Kiitos osallistujille. Postittelen tavaraa parin viikon sisällä, luultavasti aiemmin. Ilmoittelen sitten. Jos vielä haluat luukun eikä ole kenen kanssa vaihtaa, voin ottaa muutaman extran. Kelpaa kooltaan hieman isompikin tavara (ks. nuket muissa postauksissa), mutta teen ~1:12 kokoisia vaihtoon (pyynnöstä muutakin kokoa). Toivomuksia saa yhä esittää koon ja aiheen puolesta. Tosin valtaosa luukuista on jo valmiina, joten kovin järisyttävästi niihin ei kohta enää voi vaikuttaa.

Just a quick note

I know that commenting may sometimes feel like an overwhelming task, but it would mean a lot to me if you were to leave some. :3 (And I don't mean that in a mean, sarcastic manner... ^ ^;; ) Anonymous commenting is allowed, so you don't have to log in to leave them. You also don't have to be very chatty, I'd just like to know if someone's been here or reads these things. An occasional opinion would be nice too though. :D
Also, if you have any requests for me, please do tell. I'm always up for a challenge when it comes to things to do for the dolls, pictures to take or stories to write.
